Joshua’s PhD research critically examines the complex nature of government engagement with Muslim communities and non-state actors in the context of the Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) and deradicalisation programme in northeastern Nigeria. His works have appeared in Conflict, Security and Development, South African Journal of International Affairs and the African Journal of Terrorism.
