The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) seeks an agent to implement the Bureau of
Justice Statistics Statistical Support Program (BJS-SSP). The BJS-SSP supports
statistical and methodological research to develop new collections and develop
methods to modernize and restore existing or inactive data collections, and aid BJS
in special statistical analyses. The Criminal Justice Statistics Program (CJSP)
includes nearly 50 separate statistical data collections on policing, prosecution,
courts, institutional corrections, community supervision, and victimization. The
BJS-SSP will expand the capacity to collect, analyze, and report CJSP data,
increasing the breadth of substantive issues.
