His research investigates social mechanisms that generate biases in the digital world, focusing on how social and cognitive structures shape decision-making. His work has appeared in international journals such as European Sociological Review, International Journal of Drug Policy, Social Science Computer Review, and PloS one.Alberto Aziani is Associate Professor of Sociology of Law and Deviance at the University of Milano – Bicocca. His research focuses on illicit drug markets, criminal dynamics online, and illicit financial flows, with findings published in leading international outlets. On these topics, he also serves as a consultant to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and has led numerous nationally and internationally funded projects.
