Chernoff is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice at Southeastern Louisiana University. His research focuses on situational crime prevention and design against crime on the college campus. Dr. Chernoff has published on the effects of identifying property, retrofit design, signage, and visibility on theft and vandalism.Young Ju Chae is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice at Southeastern Louisiana University. Her research centers on criminological theory, cognitive criminology, health and justice, and evidenced based criminal justice policies. Dr. Chae has published works on the integration of social bonds and dual-process models of crime, as well as the impact of psychosocial or cognitive factors on delinquent behavior.Lisa M. Olson, PhD, JD is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice at Southeastern Louisiana University. Her research interests include LGBT+ interactions within the justice system, school shootings, criminal sentencing, and jury decision-making.Michael Bisciglia, is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice at Southeastern Louisiana University. His research focuses on racial segregation on rates of homicide in large cities and race and EEO compliance in LEOs. Dr. Bisciglia has published on Marco-social Hispanic/White and African American/White segregation and homicide victimization in metropolitan areas.Christina Ainsworth, is a Victim Advocate at the Children’s Advocacy Center: Hope House in Covington, Louisiana. Her work focuses on awareness, healing, and prevention of child abuse. Christina has conducted research on academic dishonesty with the advancement of technology.Kailyn Duncan is a Graduate Student of Applied Sociology and Criminal Justice at Southeastern Louisiana University. Her research interests include the intersection of psychology and crime, critical legal studies, and everyday interactions with the law. She has researched perceptions of crime on the university campus as well as compliance with traffic laws.Micah Brown is a Graduate Student in the Applied Sociology and Criminal Justice program and a Graduate Assistant with the Sociology and Criminal Justice Department at Southeastern Louisiana University. His research interests focus on the effects and future of the carceral system, perceptions of deviance and criminality, and people’s relationships with transportation, labor, and the environment. Previously, he has conducted research on college student body (dis)satisfaction and LGBTQIA+ life on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain, Louisiana.Kenneth Bolton, PhD is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice at Southeastern Louisiana University. His research focuses on the intersections of race and ethnicity, gender, class as well as participatory research and critical education. Dr. Bolton has published on the experiences of African-American police officers and the history of police misconduct.
