Conner, is Assistant Professor of Sociology at The University of Missouri and Stephen O Murray Scholar in Residence at Michigan State University. He is editor of Conspiracy Theories and Extremism in New Times with Bloombury Press and co-author of QAnon: Conspiracy, Capitalism, and the Crisis of Meaning with Matthew Hannah and Saverio Roscigno. He is currently collecting data for a study on LGBT+ persons victimized online.Matthew N. Hannah, earned his PhD from the Department of English at University of Oregon. He was an Andrew Mellon postdoctoral fellow at the University of Iowa’s Obermann Center for Advanced Studies from 2016-2018, where he worked on the Digital Bridges for Humanistic Inquiry project. He is currently an Associate Professor of Digital Studies in the Department of Communication Arts and the Director of the Digital Scholarship Hub in Memorial Library at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focuses on digital humanities, online conspiracy theories, and (mis)information studies.
