Soni is a part-time research scholar in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar. His research focuses on exploring the psychosocial aspects of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. A former Brigadier in the Indian Army, he is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, the Defence Services Staff College, and the College of Defence Management. He is currently serving as Senior Consultant at the Indian Institute of Management, Jammu.Parwinder Singh, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Punjab (India). His research mainly includes devising, executing and evaluating psychosocial interventions targeting different facets of maladaptive behaviour. He is interested in understanding social-cognitive aspects of adaptive and maladaptive behavioural patterns and behaviour modification. With similar objectives, presently, he is working on different facets of emotion regulation. Exploring various risk and protective factors associated with specific behavioural phenomena and applying appropriate interventions characterise his research designs.
