His research focuses on issues of cognition and morality in organizations with particular attention to criminal justice and juvenile justice systems.Jeff W. Cohen currently serves as Assistant Vice Provost for International Programs and Professor of Criminal Justice at Appalachian State University. His scholarship focuses on the criminalization of youth and schools, gender, masculinities and crime, and the transformative impact of study abroad. He develops and teaches courses related to restorative justice, schools, and youth. He is co-author of two books related to the criminalization of school bullying and co-editor of a 10-book series with University of California Press entitled “Criminology Explains … ”.
