Sylwia Opozda-SuderAgata ŁopatkiewiczMałgorzata MichelInstitute of Education, Jagiellonian University, Kraków, PolandSylwia Opozda-Suder’s research interests primarily focus on challenges and risks in the psychosocial development of adolescents, conformism as an important defence mechanism affecting relational and adaptive processes in the peer group, caring and therapeutic counselling, the phenomenon of radicalisation in the context of adolescent functioning, social research methodology, and quantitative data analysis. Her methodological and statistical interests are related to the development and validation of self-reporting scales (e.g., factor analysis, reliability and dimensionality analyses, measurement invariance), structural equation modeling (SEM) and meta-analyses.Agata Łopatkiewicz’s research interests are located on the borderline of law and education (legal education, pedagogical foundations of family law, parental responsibility and guardianship, alternative dispute resolution), education and philosophy (philosophical foundations of education, upbringing and socialization, scientific status of education, philosophical basis of the social sciences) and philosophy and law (relationship between law and moral philosophy, law in the face of social and bioethical problems). Her current research activity includes research on the phenomenon of radicalization in the context of adolescent functioning, carried out within an interdisciplinary research group.Małgorzata Michel’s research interests primarily focus on youth gang activity and children on the street in the Urban Studies stream, juvenile delinquency, pseudo-football fans groups and youth gangs, local security in the context of youth activity, risk behaviour prevention, and the phenomena of radicalisation/deradicalisation and terrorism. She works as a qualitative researcher, mediator, streetworker, volunteer, local activist, and expert with NGOs and streetworkers and security advocacy organizations.
