His areas of interest in research include moral psychology, the use of technology and its psychological impact, educational psychology, and cognitive biases. In this regard, his research is mostly focused on investigating concepts related to moral disengagement, moral licensing and cleansing, moral absolutism, social media usage, cyberbullying, and mental well-being. Furthermore, the author’s work also focuses on social psychology, investigating the manner in which various factors (e.g., social pressure, political and religious orientation) can influence the mental well-being of individuals and the manner in which they develop their attitudes towards various social phenomena.Alexandra Maftei, PhD. is a lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University, Iași. Her areas of interest in psychological research include moral cognition and behaviors, special education, and digital stress. In this regard, most of her publications include empirical studies that focused on investigating various factors that influence cyberbullying and other antisocial behaviors in the online environment (e.g., moral disengagement, compulsive internet use, social media use, jealousy etc.). Moreover, the author’s work focuses on the manner in which various factors related to parenting and the educational environment influence the well-being and behaviors of typical children and children with disabilities or medical conditions.
