His research interests lie in criminal justice, treatment of offenders and prison policy. He published a monograph on a prison living standards in 2021.Sho Sagara, PhD, is associate professor at the Department of Social work and Child Science, Saitama Prefectural University, Japan. His research focuses on desistance from crime and delinquency and recovery from substance use disorder. He is interested in qualitative methods, especially in the narrative approach. As an early career researcher, he has more than 20 publications and has received several awards.
