Her research interests include political violence, terrorism, and forced migration. Her research has been published in Terrorism and Political Violence, Comparative Politics, Politics & Policy, International Journal of Conflict and Violence, and Studies in Conflict & Terrorism, among others.Alanna Johnson received her M.A. degree in the Committee on International Relations from the University of Chicago, and B.A. degree in political science from Marquette University and Saint Louis University in Madrid, Spain. Her research interests include political violence, foreign policy analysis, and counterterrorism.
