The critical terrorism researcher: identity, positionality, and (de)coloniality
Kodili Chukwuma School of Government and International Affairs, Durham University, Durham, UKKodili Chukwuma is Assistant Professor in International Security in the School of Government and International Affairs at Durham University. Kodili’s research focuses on the politics of security, terrorism and counterterrorism, and straddles the fields of international relations, critical security studies, critical terrorism studies, African politics, and postcolonial studies. His current projects include work on terrorism trials in Nigeria, on postcolonial space(s) and critical terrorism studies, on proscription of terrorist organisations in Nigeria, and on counterterrorism strategies in the Lake Chad Basin. His works have been published in journals such as Security Dialogue, International Political Sociology, Critical Studies on Terrorism, and African Security.
