Dmello, Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer of Criminology at the University of Adelaide. He is an internationally recognized expert on illicit organizations, focusing on criminal street gangs and extremist organizations, with methodological expertise in network science and advanced quantitative methods. He is also a past recipient of the Ken Peak Innovations in Teaching award from the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.Stuti Kokkalera, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of criminal justice and criminology at Sam Houston State University. Her current research employs quantitative and qualitative methodologies to examine different aspects of state discretionary release practices. She is equally interested in cross-country comparative research on juvenile offending, juvenile lifer reentry, and correctional practices generally.
