Her work bridges insights from international security and economic interdependence literature and tests these implications on migration policies. She has published articles on visa policies and the connection between border governance and human trafficking. Her other projects examine flows of transnational terrorism in the context of globalization. She has published in journals such as American Political Science Review, Conflict Management and Peace Science, International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Peace Research, Journal of Conflict Resolution, among others.Yasutaka Tominaga is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics at Hosei University, Tokyo, Japan. He received his Ph.D. from the Osaka School of International Public Policy at Osaka University. His research lies in the field of international relations, with a specific focus on political violence and organized crimes, terrorism, civil wars, and maritime piracy. He has published in International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research, Conflict Management and Peace Science, International Interactions, etc.Chia-yi Lee is Professor at the Department of Diplomacy, National Chengchi University, Taipei, Taiwan. She received her PhD in political science from Washington University in St. Louis. Her research focuses on international political economy and non-traditional security issues especially terrorism and energy. She has published in journals such as Energy Research & Social Science, International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research, and Review of International Organizations.Cagil Albayrak is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Kansas and the Cybersecurity Program Director at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. His research focuses on counterterrorism and how states use terrorism designation, with particular attention to organizational reputation, and legitimacy contests between states and violent non-state actors. In addition to his academic work, he is professionally engaged in the cybersecurity industry, working on emerging technologies and governance, and integrating strategic cyber threat intelligence in his graduate teaching.
