He is the developer of the Tripartite Cybercrime Framework. Lazarus is the author of the monograph “Cybercriminals (Yahoo Boys) and Society: Hustle Kingdoms, Occult Economies, and the Colonial Politics of Digital Fraud” (Routledge, 2026). He has published widely in journals such as Deviant Behavior, Journal of Human Trafficking, International Review of Sociology, International Criminal Justice Review and Security Journal. His research examines human trafficking, cyber-enabled fraud, deception, and victimisation.Gargi Sarkar is a cybercrime researcher whose work lies at the intersection of cybersecurity, criminology, and human-centred security. She completed her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, where she investigated digital investigative infrastructures for cybercrime. Her research focuses on cyber-enabled deviant behaviour, online fraud, organised cybercriminal networks, and AI-assisted approaches for cybercrime investigation and digital policing.
