He holds a Ph.D. in Political Geography from the Sorbonne and a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard. His publications include the book War in Syria and the Middle East: A Political and Economic History (University of Texas Press, 2025) and articles in Small Wars & Insurgencies, Middle East Policy, and Survival.
