Yetter is an Assistant Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice in the Winston School of Education and Social Policy at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. She is the director of Merrimack’s Master of Science in Criminology & Criminal Justice, which includes a dual enrollment police academy program. She earned her Ph.D. in Sociology and M.A. in Criminology from The Pennsylvania State University, University Park. Her research areas include the consequences of domestic violence victimization and the role of higher education in police training.Alicia A. Girgenti is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Western New England University in Springfield, MA. She played an integral role in the development of the dual enrollment police academy program at Merrimack College. She earned her Ph.D. in Criminology and Justice Policy from Northeastern University. Her research and teaching interests include intersectionality and the death penalty, capital jury decision-making, and the role of higher education in police training.
