Bratina is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. She received the Ph.D. from the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. With Jim Fagin, Dr. Bratina coauthored CJ 2019 and CJ 2022 and has authored Forensic Mental Health: Framing Integrated Solutions. At the time of this writing, she serves as the Region One Trustee for the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, and as Executive Counselor for the Division of International Criminology, of the American Society of Criminology. Her research interests include forensic mental health systems, human exploitation, and secondary and vicarious trauma among justice-serving professionals.David A. Mackey is a Professor of Criminal Justice at Plymouth State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. With Kristine Levan, he co-edited Crime Prevention. With Kathryn M. Elvey, he co-edited Society, Ethics, and the Law. He is a lifetime member of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and the Northeastern Association of Criminal Justice Sciences.
