Shaun L. Gabbidon Kareem L. Gabbidon, Ph.D. is a Distinguished Professor of Criminal Justice at Penn State Harrisburg. He also holds a joint appointment in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University Park campus. Professor Gabbidon is a Fellow of both the American Society of Criminology (ASC) and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS). In 2024, he was the recipient of the Faculty Scholar Medal for the Social Sciences, which is the highest award for scholarship at Penn State University. Dr. Gabbidon served as a Fulbright Distinguished Scholar at the University of Birmingham (UK) during Spring 2025.Kareem L. Jordan, Ph.D. is Dean and Professor in the College of Juvenile Justice at Prairie View A&M University. His research focuses on juvenile court outcomes, criminal sentencing, and race and justice issues.Jazmine Talley is a Ph.D. candidate in Justice, Law & Criminology at American University. Her research focuses on criminological theory, socioeconomic inequality, and structural disadvantage. Her dissertation examines the impact of racialized economic inequality on crime outcomes in segregated neighborhoods. Jazmine has published work on hate crimes, colorism, and perceptions of justice-related issues, with current projects exploring the effects of legal financial obligations on individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
