His research agenda focuses on human security and transnational migration and has been published in journals such as Journal of International Relations and Development, International Migration, and Political Geography.Dr. Miguel Paradela López is assistant professor in the Department of International Relations at Comillas Universidad Pontificia. He maintains an active research agenda that focuses on armed non-state actors, terrorism, and transnational migration. His research has been published in journals such as Political Geography, Cambridge Review of International Affairs, Defence and Peace Economics, and Small Wars and Insurgencies. He is currently developing the funded research project “Migration Externalization in Comparative Perspective: Governance Practices Between the U.S-Mexico and EU-Morocco Borderlands”.Dr. Chris Guerra is an assistant professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Security Studies at The University of Texas at El Paso. His primary research focuses on immigration and antisocial behavior. More specifically, he aims to provide nuance to the host of mechanisms involved in examining the immigrant experience (e.g., immigrant generations, statuses, day-to-day behavior) and a variety of negative life outcomes such as criminal offending and victimization. His recent work has appeared in journals such as Ethnic and Racial Studies, Prevention Science, and the Journal of Crime and Justice.
