Ramirez is an Associate Professor of Criminology and Justice Studies at California State University, Northridge. His research focuses on examining how gender and sexuality interact with individuals’ social networks to shape their involvement in various health risk behaviors, including crime, delinquency, and substance use. He received his B.A. in Health and Societies from the University of Pennsylvania in addition to his M.A. in Criminology and Ph.D. in Sociology from the Pennsylvania State University.Marc D. Glidden is an Assistant Professor of Criminology and Justice Studies at California State University, Northridge. His research examines the interplay between crime and financial institution access as well as the relationship between the financial capability of inmates and recidivism. He received his B.S. in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University, his M.A. in Higher Education Administrative Services from McKendree University, and his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.Jaycynda Trifone-Woodruff is a lecturer in the Department of Criminology and Justice Studies at California State University, Northridge. She received her B.A. in Sociology from California State University, Northridge, and her J.D. from Loyola Law School, with a concentration in Criminal Justice.
