Jiayu Cui School of International Relations, Sichuan UniversityJiayu Cui is the Assistant Director of the Center for Chinese Tibet and South Asian Studies at the School of International Relations, Sichuan University. His research focuses on religion and politics in South Asia, with particular attention to the political roles of Islam and Christianity. He is a co-author of Islam and Its Impact on China-South Asia Relations, South Asia Development Report 2022–2023, and Studies on International Regional Identity. He also served as the translator of Selected Speeches of Nepal’s Prime Minister Prachanda and is an Assistant Editor of South Asian Studies Quarterly. He has conducted multiple field studies in South Asia, gaining extensive firsthand experience in the region’s religious and political landscapes.
