She also is the Executive Director of the UNC Charlotte Violence Prevention Center. Her research interests focus on violence and victimization, sexual offending, human sexuality, and trauma-informed and culturally informed practice.Rebecca L. Fix, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. Her research interests include understanding and reducing racial bias and structural racism in the juvenile justice system, and the relationship between childhood abuse and use of physical or sexual violence during adolescence.
