His research focuses on racial disparities in prosecutorial outcomes, police effectiveness, immigration and crime, and criminal justice education.Katie Ely, Ph.D., is a professor of criminal justice in the Department of Anthropology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Social Work at Commonwealth University – Lock Haven. She published research on offender reentry, department chair challenges, and teaching criminal justice research methods.
