Her research interests include examining institutional misconduct and recidivism of different system-impacted populations (especially individuals on death row, individuals with severe mental illness, and women), as well as the prison experiences of those incarcerated. Aside from correctional topics, she is also interested in pedagogical research in the context of criminal justice classrooms to be able to offer meaningful learning experiences to her students. Trejbalová authored and co-authored works that have appeared in outlets such as The Prison Journal, Feminist Criminology, International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology, and Journal of Criminal Justice Education.Joshua R. Ruffin, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts at Towson University. His research is in policing, race and justice, social justice within corrections, and community perspectives on crime and justice. His research also examines how intersected identities influence the experience of criminal justice practitioners and incarcerated populations. His recent scholarly contributions are in Criminal Law Bulletin, Journal of Correctional Health Care, Policing and Society, Policing, A Journal of Policy and Practice, and Journal of Urban Affairs, among others.Linsey A. Belisle, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in the School of Public Service at Boise State University. She is an applied correctional scholar who emphasizes research among populations disproportionally impacted by the criminal-legal system. Her recent work focuses on advancing the treatment of justice-involved youth and adults through evidence-based correctional practices, gender responsivity, harm reduction, and criminal justice pedagogy. Her recent work appears in Child Abuse & Neglect, Criminal Justice & Behavior, Feminist Criminology, and Trauma, Violence & Abuse.
