Killer Corporations: Changing Student Attitudes on Corporate Crime Using an In-Class Exercise
Denise Bissler Ashley Parks Randolph-Macon College, Ashland, VA, USADr. Denise Bissler is a full Professor of Criminology/Sociology at Randolph-Macon College. Dr. Bissler’s research expertise includes sexual assault, crime and the media, the opioid crisis, and incarcerated juveniles. She is a certified Title IX Sexual Assault Investigator. She has numerous publications in her area of expertise including articles, book chapters, and an edited book. She is the creator and Director of the Criminology major at Randolph-Macon College. She served in several other recent leadership roles including a two-year term as Vice-President (and elect) of the Southern Sociological Society and the President of the Sociologists for Women in Society-South regional organization. Ashley Parks is a recent graduate of Randolph-Macon College. Ashley Parks received her B.A. from Randolph-Macon College in May of 2023 with a double major in Criminology and Sociology. She also worked on research for campus sexual assault with another professor at Randolph-Macon College. Currently, she is employed as a law enforcement officer.
