Button is a Professor of Criminal Justice and Victimology and Victim Services at Stockton University. Her research focuses on how experiences of violence and victimization are shaped by systems of inequality. Her area of interest is on LGBQ youth victimization and social support, sexual assault, and family violence. She has published her work in Criminology, Feminist Criminology, and Journal of Homosexuality.Heather L. Pfeifer is a Professor in the School of Criminal Justice at the University of Baltimore. She is a nationally recognized expert on trauma-informed policy and practices and has been involved in numerous federal and state funded research projects involving juvenile delinquency, victim service programs, and substance abuse. Her work is published in Journal of Criminal Justice Education and Justice Quarterly.Monica Summers is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology at California State University, Fresno. Dr. Summers’ research interests revolve around women’s pathways to criminality, the experiences of incarcerated populations during and after incarceration, and domestic violence/sexual assault. Dr. Summers focuses on increasing accessibility to higher education in prisons. Her work is published in the International Journal of Child and Adolescent Resilience and Justice Quarterly.Courtney Porter is an Assistant Professor at Marymount University. Her research focuses on juvenile justice, organizational theory, decision-making, detention alternatives, and risk/need assessment. Dr. Porter has previously served as the Research Program manager for a local juvenile court and probation unit. She has published her work in Federal Probation and Criminal Justice Studies: A Critical Journal of Crime, Law & Society.Jared Dmello is a Senior Lecturer of Criminology at the University of Adelaide. Dr. Dmello, an internationally recognised expert in illicit networks, has extensive program evaluation experience in the academic and non-academic sectors and a strong record of external funding. He is regularly quoted by media outlets from around the world, and his work is published in leading criminological and security studies journals, including Criminal Justice & Behavior, Crime & Delinquency, and Journal of Interpersonal Violence.
