Her research focuses on evidence-informed approaches to corrections, with a particular emphasis on improving outcomes for people in prison. Her research areas include the use of body-worn cameras in custodial settings, the experiences of people with disability in prison, and the factors shaping decisions to waive parole.Stefani Vasil is a lecturer in Criminology and Criminal Justice and Migration with the Thomas More Law School at the Australian Catholic University. Her primary research examines migration and gendered violence, including domestic and family violence, with a focus on citizenship and immigration regimes and the role of the state. She is a member of the Borders, Migration and Gendered Violence Research Hub (Melbourne).
